Perfect Conditions But Lack In Quality
Catch Report 4/9/2006
Today's weather was quite good, though blowing quite a strong southeast wind. Justin sms'ed me and Jialiang that he caught a 40cm bream on bait at Glebe yesterday morning. Seeing that Glebe is favourable for SE winds, I made a call to Jialiang asking him if he wants to lure today and he said it's ok for a short session at Glebe as it's nearer.
Made my first cast with the Ecogear SX-48F at the shallows and I had a good take and the fish felt like it had some weight. But, again due to my lousy angling skills I must have not set the hook properly and it jumped off the train(lure). Damn it man, talked about a $13.55 lure with extremely sharp hooks! As usual, after the 1st action, the rest of this lure usage is zero.
Changed to GULP camo sandworm and this biodegradable lure helped save the day. Jialiang refuses to use it saying there's no integrity in a "cheating" lure, yeah yeah yeah.. righto. In the end, he succumbed too, after seeing me getting lots of action using it. Long story short, caught a couple of fishes but I lost track and didn't take all photos. Had 5 pics, 3 breams and 2 whitings. Whitings are definitely undersize, and one of the bream looks legal, didn't even bother measuring them.
I cropped all the pics together as there's nothing spectacular to look at, shit, better change this mentality, at least I caught fish, better than eating "eggs"!
