Overcast Day But Still Shit

Can't believe all these antics about how good fishing is when it's overcast, light winds, etc.. All BULL one lah, in the end of the day, trust yourself. So why must I whinge anyway? People always say so long go wet-a-line means is good thing, yah, right...

Anyway, I also don't know why I KPKB. Actually not bad lah, me and Chen went IC thinking it's gonna be a quickie. End up staying there too long. Why? Actually there were bites in some very prominent spot, especially the 'jewfish' spot. Firstly cast bloodworm bm and always come back minus the tails. Fuck man, I really hate those toadies! Chen was telling me he plans to make a super berley and attract them and use a big net to scoop all of them up, lol. At my 'small window' spot, suddenly I heard Chen's Tierra was singing and so busybody go check it out. He got his 1st bream on the powderful SX40 in my favourite colour 306.

So later after release I asked him "SX40 is da bomb right?". Immediately I changed to the 309 and cast at my window. 2nd cast, I got a good 1st run. Still wondering what it was till it was near my feet and it was a good size and fat 30cm whiting. Da bomb explode ah!

After trying awhile more with the SX, nothing happens. So a change to the pearl blue bm at 'jewfish' spot. Cast cast until one point I felt a bite and a little weight. I thought it was a flattie and didn't bother to strike. The moment I crank the handle, zzzzzzz ding-dong.. FAAARRRKKK!!! See... angling where got skills one, is LUCK ok! No luck go home suck thumb! As usual, the tail later got bitten off. I suspect the tackle shop owners must have introduce this pest in the water so we can keep on buying lures from them. Chen also had big runs but no hookup on his 'whole' sandworm. He was trying to do justin's style.

Then went to 'barren desert' spot and tried using SX again since it was snaggy there. Do straight forward retrieve and got a big 'bump' take and instantly I knew it was Uncle Flattie. Total dead weight with only few head shakes from this 44cm flathead.

I was surprised to see some injuries on its body and asked Chen if those 'packet' uncle got this flattie will they take home? Chen says definitely. So long their mentality is eat already won't die they also won't care what is disease or dioxins. Champion! Anyway, continued at the drain for absolutely nothing which I was quite disappointed with the drain recently. Went back to 'barren desert' spot with my fav SX. Same thing happened again. But this time I realised this bugger took the whole SX in its mouth! And it kept on thrashing around non stop, but luckily I hand steer the leader aways from its head and gently lifted the fish out when I decided to finally calmed down. It was merely a 40cm flattie but still it made more and more scratches on the already battle-scarred body of the SX.

Then the disastrous happen. Chen snagged his SX48 and the tackleback didn't work! KNNBCCB stupid invention! So no choice but to cut the line and tie onto a styrofoam which we'll go back later at low tide and get it. Sianz...
