Maybe A Before-Rain Theory?

In the previous blogs, I did mentioned about some bullshit theory about after-rain good fishing. But seems like I can make my own before-rain theory. This is what happened. Theory more than curry..

Suddenly feel like need to go cure my lure itch, I checked the winds and it seems ok for Le Montage. Since I had quite a good session the last round few days before, I thought I needed badly to get proof for the ANRE'S Rapid. Went to the last hour before last light. Damn, reached there to see that the water too shallow even after 2 hours from the lowest tide. No choice but just try with Mojo grub 1st. Totally dead, except I saw another lurer there getting a bream on hardbody. After 1 hour of wasting my casts there, the sky darkens. Action begins..

This time, it was Rapid at the end of the 5lb Nitlon DARM. Made a far cast with the wind assist and within a few cranks, got a hit. Good, I stopped the lure for a few seconds and began super slow crank with a few twitches. Suddenly line went solid and a lousy fight ensued. Got a boring fight from a 29cm bream but nonetheless Rapid 45DSP no longer a bream virgin.

After I released that fish, I made the next cast at the exact same spot (i think same spot although pitch black, how the hell i can see??). Crank crank crank suddenly dear kixy goes zzzzz. Fwah, orgase on the spot siah! Bloody hell the place so pitch black I can't see shit how my line goes also. 1st thought it might be a big bream but when near my feet, the headtorch shined a 38cm whiting! My personal best man! Happy like F.

This time I was very satisfied with the rapid. Could it be my answer to an alternative SX40? It sure can man! After a lull period of around 15 minutes, got another solid take near my feet. This 30cm bream pulled the line like nobody business! Went for about 5 dashes and instantly earned my R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

Next up, the lull period longer liao. But I was still confident that the racing incoming tide will bring more fishes in. So hang on longer and got rewarded for the perseverance. It only made one short dash from this rather smallie.

Then Phil called me for dinner. I made a final last 5 casts and on the 3rd one got another same size smallie. Gave my word to meet for dinner so no choice but to leave the fishes biting.

Then, after about few hours later, the heavens opened with a thunderstorm in Sydney. Maybe the fishes need to feed hardout knowing that the rain will come soon. Don't know lah, theory more than curry. So itch cured, theory re-adjusted, and lure got proof liao. Song song reached jurong.
